The prefect classic for Mothers Day
These sweet simple cup cakes make a lovely little treat for all the Mums out there. Spoil you Mum this Sunday.
Simply add all cake ingredient into a large bowl and mix until smooth.
Spread evenly between cupcake cases
Cook at 180C/340F/Gas Mark 4 until golden brown and spongy.
- 110g/4oz butter or margarine, softened at room temperature
- 110g/4oz caster sugar
- 2 free-range eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 110g/4oz self-raising flour
- 1-2 tbsp milk
For the icing
- 300g/10½oz icing sugar
- 2-3 tbsp water
- 2-3 drops food colouring
- hundreds and thousands, or other cake decorations
Approx 10-30 mins cooking time.
Makes 12-18 small cakes
